 Needed Large Belt Loop Jeans

The inside length of the belt loops for your pants or jeans must be no less than 2¼ (2.25) inches inside length top to bottom on each belt loop.

Only the back and the side belt loops need to be made larger; because you never thread the front loops with the belt from the beltsword system.

It is important to have enough room for the BeltSword System to move easily through the belt loops.  You only need to be concerned about the belt loops on the back of your pants and on the far right and left sides.  You will never thread the BeltSword through the two front belt loops.  Note that the two or three loops on the back of your pants are enough to hold the BeltSword System in place.

Once the Beltsword is attached around your waist; it is also important that the entire belt may be moved easily to the right or left.  (This allows for easy adjustment and a better fit)

In some cases there is excess material inside the belt loop at the top and/or the bottom of the loop.  This excess material may “catch slightly” and make it difficult to move the BeltSword around your waist.  Take a small scissors and cut the excess material from the inside of each belt loop.  (Be careful not to cut the belt loop itself)  Remove the manufacturers label from the back of jeans.  The label may catch the individual containment clips making it difficult to move the BeltSword System through the belt loops.

Below are some manufactures and certain jeans that have the larger belt loops.

  1. Levi Strauss Signature Men’s Low Loose Boot # 158490 (Product Code 915053513)
  2. Billabong Style# M398N TOM
  3. Virgos Jeans Style# MP027
  4. Lot29 Jeans

Certain summertime “shorts” from Levi and Wrangler have the large 2¼ inch long belt loops.  You may have to do some searching in various retail stores to find the large belt loops.  There are plenty out there; however some stores do not carry the larger/longer belt loops.

Easy Option:

  • Take your jeans to a tailor and have the belt loops extended and made longer.  Remember; only the back and the side belt loops need to be made larger.  Usually there is enough excess material at the ends of each belt loop to make the belt loops larger without adding material.
  • Finding a tailor to enlarge 3-5 belt loops on the back and sides of your pants is cheap and easy.
