Testing RazorSword

  1. 1075 or 1095 Specially Tempered/Hardened High Carbon Spring Steel HRC 54-57 (Very Hard): The RazorSword is made of battle ready, thin high carbon spring steel that is specially tempered and hardened.  This material is light weight yet very dense; this allows acceleration to terminal velocity of the RazorSword nearly instantaneous.  “A flick of the wrist” and the RazorSword is traveling extremely fast.  The RazorSword blade is 1.5 inches wide and up to 33 inches long.
  1. Penetration:  A semi-sharp RazorSword was tested in competition with a semi-sharp machete and a semi-sharp Samurai Sword.  (We define semi-sharp as having an edge but not razor sharp)  Due to the immediate acceleration of the RazorSword to “top speed” and the lack of blade resistance (RazorSword Blade is thin) the RazorSword penetrated much deeper into 1/2 inch thick plywood (against the grain) than either the Samurai or the machete.  (This was much to our own amazement due to the cutting reputation of both the machete and the renowned Samurai Sword)
  1. Penetration: A “totally dull” rounded edged RazorSword was also tested in competition with a semi-sharp machete.  The target again was ½ inch plywood (against the grain).  The dull RazorSword penetrated about the same distance as the semi-sharp machete.  (1.25 inches of penetration)
  1. Independent Tests at Four Winds Martial Arts.  (International Eskrima (Stick Fighting) Champion Kelii Sipin and other mixed martial arts experts reviewed the test)
    • The first test was with a semi-sharp machete.  Martial arts expert Kelii Sipin struck the ½ inch plywood and buried the steel machete about 1.25 inches into the plywood.  (against the grain)
    • The second test was with a semi-sharp RazorSword.  The RazorSword buried itself 2¼ into the plywood.  (against the grain) (Another martial arts expert remarked, “Very impressive”.)
  1. Comparison of penetration into ½ inch plywood against the grain.
    • Ranked #1:  RazorSword semi sharp.  One handed strike = 2.25 inches of penetration
    • Ranked #2:  Samurai Sword semi sharp:  Two handed strike = 1.75 inches of penetration.
    • Ranked #3:  Samurai Sword semi-sharp:  One handed strike = 1.375 inches of penetration.
    • Ranked #4:  Machete semi sharp:  One handed strike = 1.25 inches of penetration

Final Test:  A totally dull RazorSword with a rounded edge.  One handed strike = 1.25 inches of penetration.  This is equal to the cutting power of a semi-sharp machete.  This is a testament to the power and speed of RazorSword.  (The RazorSword is not sold sharp and does not need to be sharp to be effective)

Since these test may be repeated by anyone; RazorRazor made sure of test reliability.  Could someone have a $3,000 Katana beat the RazorSword…probably; but we have total concealment and the greatest weapon of all, “the element of surprise”!
